Last Saturday Becki disappeared into the kitchen. A short while later the most delicious smells started wafting round the house, but she wouldn’t let us know quite what was going on.
Then, a couple of hours later when we were settling into our seats in the cinema, she produced five little packages each containing two pieces of flapjack and tied with red ribbon. Then we worked out what it was she’d been up to and why she hadn’t wanted us to peek!
I think this is what she’d done…
- 2 bananas, mashed
- 1 tsp runny honey
- 200g porridge oats
- 60g chopped mixed nuts
- 75g chopped dates
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Mix everything together, press into a lined baking tin (approx. 20 by 15 cm), and bake at 180C for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting and eating!
