I couldn’t resist including this one. Becki decided that one birthday cake just isn’t enough, and so yesterday afternoon she disappeared into the kitchen and produced this.

The recipe is Nigella’s Fresh Gingerbread with Lemon Icing (How to be a Domestic Goddess p 236) which, incidentally, is one of my all-time favourite cakes (though I tend to double the ginger for a slightly larger kick šŸ™‚ )
